The “black box” design requires no external software and only a few external components to create a working solution. Operate as a PHY or MAC; selectable via pull up / down resistor. Communication is possible over any two-wire system: DC / AC or dry wire. The HomePlug® AV, RGMII bus is ideal for use in over-the-top video (SD and HD), retail adapters, Telco / IPTV, Smart grid, Ethernet-over-powerline (PLC), and multi-dwelling unit (MDU) applications.
