In summary, the LTC2983 high accuracy digital temperature measurement system is a one IC solution to measure any temperature sensor. With 20 input channels developers can utilize any sensor type without heavy hardware redesign. On the software side of the LTC2983, the designer can store the linearization coefficients and equations in ROM or define their own custom sensors in RAM which are both integrated into the LTC2983. Finally, Linear Technology provides a demo board for the LTC2983. This board allows designers to set up and evaluate sensors in only a few minutes. Measurements can be exported to excel and configuration C-code can be exported for further development.
