Open frame power supplies were previously the only option available to medical device manufacturers. With the medical power supply CP10.241-M1, PULS offers an efficient, convection-cooled DIN-rail power supply conforming to the highest technological standards. Additionally, the power supply is only 39 mm wide and available from stock.

Medical applications in hospitals (operating room equipment, patient monitoring, and nurse call systems), building technology (door openers and lighting), and imaging diagnostics (CT, MRT, and ultrasound) can greatly benefit from the high industry standard. There is also an increasing number of applications within laboratories requiring this type of DIN-rail power supply.

The most obvious difference from the open frame power supplies is the design and mounting on the DIN-rail. The DIN-rail installation, a long-established standard in the industry, is new for medical applications.

This applies to the entire output range and is possible thanks to a high efficiency of 95.2% and low power losses of 12.1 W. This makes unreliable and noisy fans unnecessary. The CP10.241-M1 contributes to a quiet environment for patients. In addition, the high efficiency means that the power supply provides high reliability and a long lifetime (120,000 hours at AC 230 V, full load and 40°C). This makes the device perfect for many years of use in medical equipment.

The CP10.241-M1 conforms to all requirements defined in the standards IEC 60601-1, 3rd edition and IEC 60601-1-2, 4th edition. The power supply provides two means of protection for patients (2 MOPP: means of patient protection) and operators. Compliance with the EMC test is also provided in full, without any additional measures such as external filters.
