The threaded coupling nut ensures the connector will not decouple in vibration-intensive applications. Type-F connectors are used in a variety of RF applications including CATV and other 75 Ω systems. Designs above 2 GHz are also available. The DC to 4 GHz Type-F connector is ideal for wireless and GPS applications.
