The GCT halogen-free, DBDPE-free flat flex cable range extends their FFC portfolio with a compliance-driven alternative designed for engineers supplying EU and globally regulated markets. Available in a 0.5 mm pitch with four to 80 circuits and a 1.0 mm pitch with four to 50 circuits, these cables support board-to-board and board-to-device interconnections used across displays, HMI modules, and embedded electronics. The construction removes decabromodiphenyl ethane, following its addition to the REACH SVHC candidate list, without changing the electrical or mechanical interface.

From an assembly and qualification standpoint, this is a direct swap. The cables maintain identical mating behavior, insertion force, and routing characteristics compared to conventional FFCs. They are fully compatible with existing ZIF, LIF, and flip-lock FFC connectors, allowing manufacturers to address compliance risk without redesign, requalification, or process disruption.
