This kit is designed with a snap-away form-factor, allowing users to separate the KitProg (on-board programmer and debugger based on Cypress' PSoC 5LP MCU) from the target board and use independently. The kit also features a mikroBUS™ interface allowing developers to interface the PSoC 6 MCU with any of MikroElektronika's 500+ click boards™.

Featuring the PSoC 63 BLE Fully-Certified Module

The PSoC 6 BLE prototyping kit features the PSoC 63 BLE module which is a fully certified, integrated, and programmable turnkey solution for developers wanting to easily add Bluetooth connectivity to their IoT design. This module retains all the programmability and flexibility that comes with PSoC MCUs, combining programmable and reconfigurable analog and digital blocks with flexible automatic routing as well as digital programmable logic, high-performance analog-to-digital conversion (ADC), low-power comparators, and standard communication and timing peripherals.

The PSoC 63 BLE module provides a royalty-free BLE stack supporting Bluetooth 5.0 and provides 36 GPIOs in a 14 mm x 18.5 mm x 2.00 mm package. The PSoC 6 BLE Prototyping Kit along with the on-board module is the ideal development platform for IoT designers seeking a high-performance, BLE wireless solution.

Supported Kit Software

This kit is supported within Cypress’ ModusToolbox Software Environment, a set of multi-platform development tools and a comprehensive suite of GitHub-hosted firmware libraries. Together, they enable an immersive development experience for customers creating converged MCU and Wireless systems. The ModusToolbox experience is adaptable, eschewing proprietary tools and custom build environments in favor of simplicity and openness. This means the customer chooses the compiler, IDE, and RTOS including industry-standard platforms such as Arm® Mbed™ and Amazon FreeRTOS™, and the ecosystem without compromising usability or access to CapSense®, Bluetooth Low Energy and Mesh, Wi-Fi, security and low-power features.
