Image of Cypress's long-range BT 4.2 modulesCypress’ EZ-BLE™ PRoC™ Extended Range (XR) BT 4.2 Modules (CYBLE-2X20XX-X1) are fully qualified/certified (FCC, CE, MIC, KC, IC) BLE modules supporting Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) wireless communication, for up to 400 m line-of-sight connectivity. These modules are fully Bluetooth 4.2 compliant. In addition, these turnkey IoT solutions are highly integrated by including an onboard PA, LNA, two crystal oscillators, passive components, and support a number of peripheral functions (ADC, timers, counters, PWM) and serial communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI) through a programmable architecture.

Long Range BLE Connectivity for Next Generation IoT Applications
Although Bluetooth has historically been known as a short-range wireless protocol, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is being leveraged in a variety of IoT applications due to its low power, long range capabilities. Cypress provides BLE solutions to customers to innovate in these fields, using turnkey, easy-to-use modules that significantly reduce time-to-market. Some target applications include BLE connectivity in lighting, industrial, medical, and the IoT that spans all markets.

  • Any of the above EZ-BLE PRoC XR BT 4.2 Module Eval Boards can also be programmed and debugged standalone via the PSoC MiniProg3 Program and Debug Kit (CY8CKIT-002)
