Image of Analog Devices' AD9851 Direct Digital SynthesizerADI’s AD9851 is a direct digital synthesizer (DDS) with a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and comparator for frequency synthesizer and clock function that is digitally programmable. The DAC is 10-bit and the comparator comes with hysterisis and <80 ps p-p at 20 MHz. This DDS has 32-bit frequency tuning word simplified control interface that is either parallel or serial asynchronous loading format. The device has a single voltage supply range from 2.7 V to 5.25 V and low power consumption at 555 mW at 180 MHz. The AD9851 comes in 28-lead SSP package and has a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.  This DDS is ideal for communication protocol applications that require CW, FM, AM, FSK, and MSK mode transmission.
