Image of Altera MAX® 10 FPGA 10M50 Evaluation KitsThe Altera MAX 10 FPGA 10M50 evaluation kit is designed to help develop embedded applications quickly, particularly video processing and motor control solutions. It includes essential components like MIPI, HDMI, Pmod connectors, user LVDS arrays, oscillators, user GPIO, button switches, and LEDs. This kit supports a wide range of applications, including video imaging, I/O expansion, analog interface control, stepper motor control, interface bridging, power management control, configuration, and initialization control, all while leveraging the low-power and cost-effective features of MAX 10 FPGA. This kit can also jumpstart users’ embedded designs, leveraging the Altera extensive portfolio of connectivity IPs to develop high bandwidth applications quickly.

This evaluation board allows users to:

  • Validate MIPI CSI-2 passive D-PHY solutions for MIPI Rx or Tx implementation within the FPGA (MIPI cameras and IP sold separately)
  • Develop high-speed camera and imaging applications, such as handheld edge devices, IoT devices, drones, and surveillance cameras
  • Demonstrate video applications using the onboard HDMI output capability with displays
  • Build embedded solutions and test the FPGA interface with several peripheral modules
  • Embed LVDS I/O arrays for high data rates, low power consumption, and noise immunity
  • Develop 1 Gb LPDDR2 (x16) at 200 MHz performance for battery-operated mobile and handheld devices
  • Configure the FPGA with onboard USB Blaster 2 or through a JTAG header
  • Run embedded Linux using the Nios® V processor for design evaluation
  • Develop prototype designs using the through-hole vias
  • Reuse the kit’s board layout and schematic to accelerate designs
  • Start immediately with the free version of Quartus® Prime Lite Edition software, an intuitive high-performance design tool that supports design entry, synthesis, optimization, verification, and simulation
