EPCOS Ceramic TVS Multilayer Varistors, or CTVS MLVs, are small, surface mount, UL approved chip varistors designed to protect against severe high surge currents and transient overvoltage events. MLVs are available with case sizes from 0201 to 2220, making them suitable for use in portable and high density applications, such as industrial IoT and smart home. Despite their small size, they can handle surge current up to 1200 A and ESD protection up to IEC 61000-4-2 level 4, with a very fast response time and long term ESD stability. EPCOS CTVS MLVs offer varistor voltage ratings from 8 to 275 V mobile phones, wearables, medical devices, and other portable applications, as well as in high density applications, such as data bus and control systems.
