Image of Analog Devices' ADP171: 300 mA, Low Quiescent Current, CMOS Linear Regulator ADI's adjustable-output ADP171 low-dropout regulators are available in a range of fixed- and adjustable-output options from 0.8 V to 3.0 V, making them an ideal clean power device for low-voltage analog-to-digital converters. With accuracy within ±1% initially and ±3% over line, load, and temperature, they achieve fast transient response, 300 mA load-current capability, 66 mV dropout voltage, and 70 dB power-supply rejection at 10 kHz. Their robust design features a fixed 120 µs soft-start time, short-circuit protection, and thermal-overload protection. Operating on a single 1.6 V to 3.6 V supply, the ADP171 draw 170 µA at full load, 23 µA with no load, and 100 nA in shutdown mode. Available in 5-lead TSOT packages, they are specified from -40°C to +125°C.
