STMicroelectronics ESDALCxx-1U2 Single Line Protection The ESDALCxx-1U2 series of single line protection diodes are 67% smaller than previous generation alternatives. STMicroelectronics has used advanced technologies combining the ultra small ST0210 package (0.18mm²) with high surge-handling capabilities in order to withstand the toughest IEC61000-4-2 ESD test. The series includes ESDALC6V1-1U2 and ESDALC14V2-1U2 with voltages of 6.1V and 14.2V respectively. Additional benefits are provided such as low leakage current and low device capacitance resulting in lower power consumption, higher speed and lower clamping voltage in the application. The ESDALCxx-1U2 features are highly desired in portable devices for Telecom, Consumer and Medical where pcb space and power consumption have become critical along with more ESD sensitivity circuitry.
